What are community colleges? Should I consider community colleges?
Community colleges or junior colleges provide post-secondary education and grant diplomas and two-year associate's degrees, Community colleges are supported with public funds and primarily take in students from the local community. Many community colleges have "open admission";that is,anyone may be admitted. They take in international students who would pay the full tuition at US$10,000 to 15,000 per year,but which are still more affordable than 4-year institutions.(4-year colleges and universities charge $20,000 to 25,000 for public schools and 25,000 to over $30,000 for private schools.)
